Welcome to Österbybruk Manor and Forge
Immerse yourself in history at Österbybruk – a picturesque village in the heart of Uppland County, near Uppsala and 90 minutes from Stockholm. Visit the 18th century Manor, beautifully situated in a baroque park with magnificent avenues of ancient linden trees. Explore the 17th century Wallon Forge, the only preserved one of its kind in the world.
Nearby Dannemora Mines take you back to centuries of iron ore mining. The magnetite quarried here was brought to the furnaces and forges of Österbybruk, with its Walloon master smiths, laying the foundation for Swedish industry and export.
